Celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Manchester with a full two-week schedule of events catering towards lovers of all things Irish. The 22nd annual Manchester Irish Festival takes place across the whole city.
From Friends Meeting House in the city centre to Rustik in West Didsbury, you can enjoy food, drink, live music, language classes and more.
Running up to March 18, the festival is running with the theme of country pride. An extensive line up of pubs and bars across Manchester will be hosting their own events on St Patrick’s Day.
You can start with Irish stew at The Shamrock, move on to the O’Driscoll for live music and end the night showing off your moves with Irish dancing at the Chorlton Irish Club.
Irish markets will also be taking place in Manchester Town Hall across the two weeks, and the Irish World Heritage Centre will be hosting a St Patrick’s Day breakfast and party with free admission on the March 17 and 18, Irish folk band The Fureys will close the event as part of their spring tour.
Hard Rock café will be joining in the festivities and will be offering free burgers to those individuals sharing the namesake of the day. Just show your ID between 12pm-2pm to cash in your freebie meal.
